Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for FEMALE PART TIME/FULL TIME staff member to join our team of support workers working nights with a profoundly disabled 12 year old girl.
Position is for nights (9pm to 7am) for 2 or 3 nights per week on a rolling six week rota which includes 3 weekends out of 6.
She has complex care needs so it is ESSENTIAL that you have some experience of care work preferably with complex needs although full training in specific care needs is given. At least one years experience of care work MUST be in the UK.
She lives with her loving family and new staff will work alongside her Mother and other experienced support workers to provide all her care needs; we are looking for people who are sensitive to working within a family home. We provide a care package for 24hrs a day. You will also be expected to attend training, meetings, supervision etc outside of your rota’d hours, for which you will be paid at the hourly rate. You will be expected to provide cover for annual leave & sickness within the team. The client sometimes has unplanned hospital stays, staff continue to provide support during these stays, reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
It is ESSENTIAL that you are a driver & hold a clean UK driving licence as the client has a wheelchair accessible vehicle which is driven by her support staff. Its is preferable that you have access to your own vehicle as public transport does not run early in the morning where the client lives and if the client is in hospital you will be expected to get there.
You must already be eligible to work in the UK, we cannot provide sponsorship.The posts are not suitable for anyone on a student visa due to the need to work over 20 hours per week as and when required.
