Position Overview & Specifications
Our CMHTs are community-based services, providing specialist treatment and support for people who have severe and enduring mental illness living in the Hillingdon area and who are registered with a local GP. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high quality reception and telephony service to the multidisciplinary team and wider community.
You will need to have good organisational and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and experience in a busy office environment. We are looking for people who are hardworking, flexible and able to prioritise their work, and who want to be part of a highly motivated and enthusiastic team.
This post is full time 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday
- Dealing with telephone calls from clients and internal and external agencies in an appropriate and professional manner, using judgement and discretion where necessary, referring complex matters to relevant senior members of staff and taking messages when necessary
- To provide a high quality administrative, clerical and reception service for patients and their carers who access the Trust services
- Create a safe, friendly and caring environment, where people are treated with respect, courtesy and dignity
- To assist with the input and retrieval of client details, statistical and clinical information using a spreadsheet, database or relevant clinical or business information system
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
The post includes general reception duties consisting of taking calls and greeting patients. Checking patient details on our electronic record system (SystmOne), supporting clinical staff, photocopying, sorting post, liaising with patients, GPs and hospital medical staff. The successful candidate must have excellent reception and communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with both patients and staff. Although not essential, knowledge of SystmOne would be desirable.
