Automation Tester

We’re currently looking to recruit an experienced Automation Tester who will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of high quality test automation frameworks for software applications.This role can be offered on a remote basis or hybrid London.

What will you be doing day to day?....

• Participation in design workshops, peer code reviews, test-driven development, behaviour driven development and refactoring.
• Participating in solution designs, designs workshops and peer code reviews
• Applying best test practice techniques, including patterns and coding standards
• Active participation in creating Specflow scenarios for user story and acceptance criteria creation, test estimation and participating in System Integration Testing.
• Execution of Test Automation packs and analysis of results
• Continuous Refactoring Test Automation to reduce test execution time for the test packs
• Active participation in all aspects of the Scrum framework, including Sprint Goals, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Daily Stand-ups and Retrospectives
• Actively learning new technologies to satisfy business and architectural demands

What are we looking for? An experienced Automation Tester with….

• Experience in creating effective automation test strategies and plans.
• Experience creating or adapting automation frameworks
• Experience in test automation using Open Source tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Webdriver io.
• Good understanding with at least one OOP language (Java, Python, C# etc.)
• Solid understanding of best practices for Javascript / Typescript, Node / Express, React
• Experience in using other tooling such as Postman. Ready API, Soap UI
• Test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Xray, TFS, ALM
• Creating test scripts within a BDD environment using Cucumber, SpecFlow or similar
• Ability to manage and maintain versions of test assets in GIT and other repositories
• Experience of working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Hands on experience of various test types (manual and automation) such as Functional, API, web and mobility
• Experience with CI / CD Pipelines using Jenkins (Azure Devops, or similar) and integrating automation assets into the pipeline
• Ability to collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, architects, and other members across the organisation.

And what would make you perfect?

As many as the following as possible…Degree Educated, Knowledge of Cloud Platform eg. AWS. Azure and Pharmacy, GP or Healthcare domain experience.
