Lyde Green Primary School is excited to be recruiting for a highly motivated, experienced Teaching Assistant, to join our wonderful Inclusion Team.

About the role

Due to a recent increase in numbers of children with SEND, we have roles available in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 for either an immediate start or September 2023 start. The posts are fixed-term contracts, pending review of each child’s needs and budget review. Each role will involve lunch duty and working with children who have additional needs. You’ll be supporting in class and running interventions across year groups, playing a vital role in the development of our children’s social and emotional needs and academic progress.

About you

The ideal Teaching Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting the individual both within and outside of the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate. You will also provide planned bespoke interventions with groups of children across the school.

You will be:

  • keen to learn with a positive outlook
  • able to work on your own initiative
  • experienced in working with children
  • able to work as part of a team
  • willing to undertake training
  • enthusiastic and have the skills to challenge and motivate all our pupils
