We are looking for chess instructors in the following Areas
- Fremont
- Newark
- Pleasanton
- Livermore
- Dublin
- San Jose
- San Mateo
You will be hosting weekly chess club events for students between the ages of 5-10. You will be given a curriculum, display board, and chess sets to help you host weekly meetings. Don ‘t worry, we are here to help you every step of the way. You will be assigned a person that will help you be part of the family. We don ‘t have many mandatory requirements, but we are looking for a person with decent chess ability and soft skills that can make the class fun and engaging. Applicants are required to fill out screener questions to be considered for the position.
By being a chess instructor with us, you would be helping to change lives by teaching students how to plan ahead, prioritize, improve mental calculation, and compete gracefully.
Must Have
- Part-time availability between the hours of 2 pm to 6 pm.
- Must be able to drive to locations within the same city.
- Drivers License, car and insurance
- Must be punctual and responsible
- Must be able to conduct interactive, friendly, and fun classes with 10-20 kids
- The creativity to fully utilize Chess curriculum and class materials
- A passion for chess and the willingness to learn complex chess concepts
- Previous work experience with Kindergarten-6th grade students is a plus!
- USCF rating is a plus but not required.
- Vaccinated for Covid

All teachers are required to bring their own masks, as well as backup masks in case yours should break in class.
