Position Overview & Specifications
As part of a large and dynamic Occupational Therapy Department, you would be required to be committed, motivated and passionate about providing a high quality Occupational Therapy Service with the support from qualified Occupational Therapists. You would be provided with regular supervision both from a Senior Occupational Therapist and through peer support.
We are offering Part Time hours (15 hours a week) and we would consider reasonable flexible working hours.
You will conduct occupational therapy treatments and interventions with patients following an assessment by an Occupational Therapist, including supporting patients to participate in activities of daily living, functional physical rehabilitation and patient education for self-management strategies.
You will work closely with Occupational Therapists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team in enabling patients to maintain or improve their function in order to meet their occupational goals set by the Occupational Therapist.
You will be working across the Rheumatology and Pain, and the Hand Therapy Outpatient Occupational Therapy teams.
To undertake Occupational Therapy delegated tasks with patients with a wide variety of conditions and needs.
To actively participate in supervision, own development and appraisal.
To actively participate in the Occupational Therapy departmental training and service improvements.
To carry out clerical tasks within the department, e.g. photocopying, ordering equipment, general tidiness.
To work collaboratively with patients, their family and the multi-disciplinary team.
