Position Overview & Specifications

Camb IT Support is seeking to recruit a Junior IT Technician to work as part of a small team at its workshop in Cambridge. This is a varied, office-based role which will see the successful candidate providing assistance to the workshop manager in provisioning hardware and conducting hardware repairs for our corporate clients as well as for retail customers.

This would be an ideal starter role for anyone looking to build a career in the IT industry but some basic computing knowledge is essential.

Role

  • Carry out repairs of laptops and desktop computers
  • Assist with basic setup of hardware for business clients
  • Process customer devices for repair
  • Maintain and organise workshop to keep repairs running smoothly
  • Answer phone calls and create support request tickets

Working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • 6 to 12 months of experience in an IT related role
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • IT Hardware & Software knowledge
  • Ability to work to prioritise workloads independently
  • Ability to follow defined procedures
  • Able to maintain confidentiality

  • An IT qualification

Salary and Package

- Up to £25k salary, experience dependant

- 28 Days paid Holiday per annum
