Cableduct is an award winning manufacturer of standard and bespoke cable management solutions, specialising in high quality metal floor boxes to be installed in high end residential (Buckingham Palace), retail (Harrods, Burberry) and office space. This is a new role in the company and is an opportunity for the candidate with the right skills and attitude to build a successful career in metal fabrication and manufacturing. Based in the company’s factory near Croydon, you will work with the small but highly-skilled production team.

The role is based in our factory and applicants must live locally, ideally within a 30 minute commute.

Main duties

• Maintain safe and clean working environment
• Fabricate and assemble metal floor-boxes and cable management products
• Sheet metal and fabrication activities include measuring using a vernier, spot welding, drilling, bandsaw, notching, polishing, cleaning, linishing, guillotine, flypress and manual tooling
• Use correct equipment to fabricate and assemble all parts
• Work closely with your team Liaise proactively with your Supervisor and team to keep on track and address issues

Ideally, you will have the following approach, experience and ambitions

• Minimum 1-3 years in a manufacturing and metal fabrication environment
• Experience of fabrication within building products sector
• Professional, well-organised and proactive member of the team
• Focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
