Why we want you: Can you help young people build essential life skills? Community Education delivers free confidence-building workshops across the UK, and we want you to help us enable and equip communities to become more resilient. You will empower young people in your community by delivering workshops on a range of humanitarian topics including First Aid and Wellbeing. This is a wonderful opportunity to represent the British Red Cross in your local community, whilst working with a supportive and inclusive team. We ask that you are available to help us deliver education workshops for a minimum of 8 hours per month and can commit to helping us for a minimum of 9 months. Our workshops take place at different times every week, so flexibility is desired.
- Tasks: Deliver a range of interactive workshops to young people in schools and youth settings.
Promote our Community Education workshops within your community.
- Skills: Confidence to independently deliver workshops to a group of young people.
Ability to communicate effectively with our partner organisations and young people.
Responsible, organised, reliable and able to work independently.
Passionate about exploring humanitarian issues and values.
Able to travel to and lead a workshop each week, usually between 9am and 5pm, with the opportunity for occasional evenings or weekends. Workshops take place at different times so flexibility is desired.
Recognise the value of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the work that we do.
Able to commit to the role for a minimum of 9 months.
IT literacy, as well as access to IT.
