About the role
The British Medical Association (BMA) is the professional association and trade union for doctors and medical students in the UK. We represent, support and negotiate on behalf of all UK doctors and medical students.
We are looking for a Digital Content Assistant to join our Content & Audience team to support across the BMA's website and social media channels.
This is a part time, permanent opportunity. (21 hours per week)
About the role
The Digital Content Assistant will assist the digital and social media team in the creation and publication of content for multiple digital platforms. This content will inform and engage doctors on developments and issues affecting all aspects of their working lives, in line with BMA priorities and developments
If you have solid writing and editing skills, experience in working on digital content alongside awareness, knowledge and experience of multiple social media channels, we'd love to hear from you.
You will join a hard working and supportive digital and social media content team of six.
The role will predominantly be based remotely however, the successful candidate may be required to come to BMA House in London on occasion to meet the team and business need.
To be successful as a Digital Content Assistant you'll have:
- Demonstrable writing and editing skills and the ability to produce clear and concise copy in a variety of styles and tones
- Good social media awareness, including knowledge and experience of using multiple social media platforms and tools
- Excellent IT skills including content management, word processing, email and photo handling
- Good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively to meet fast and changing deadlines
- A consistent high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- You'll maintain a knowledge of the BMA, its views and priorities, and the external medico-political scene to enable the most appropriate coverage of issues
