An exciting, new opportunity has arisen for aHigh Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapistto join our growing team here at MyWellbeing IAPT Service.

Who are we?
MyWellbeing IAPT Service is an established, forward-thinking ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) service, providing psychological therapy for people across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.

What is the role?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a highly valued and fundamental part of what we do. Our CBT therapists provide disorder specific assessments, formulation, and NICE evidence-based CBT treatment for people with anxiety disorders and/or depression, including groups and 1-1 face-to-face and remote sessions.

The role will involve delivering CBT and candidates should hold accreditation with BABCP. The successful post holder will have completed either an IAPT High Intensity CBT courseora Post Graduate Diploma in CBT. Previous experience working in an IAPT, or equivalent adult service, would be beneficial, as would further additional training in IAPT approved therapies (.e.g IPT or EMDR). For example, to become a supervisor, to train and deliver other evidence-based treatment or become a ‘champion' of a special interest area (such as perinatal mental health, LGBTQIA+ or cultural wellbeing), with restorative reflective spaces offered.

Work with autonomous professional judgement, together with other psychological therapists, to deliver evidence-based therapy to individual and groups of patients.

Manage a designated caseload of patients with responsibility for their assessment, implementation and evaluation of

Proactively contribute to the achievement of positive clinical outcomes. This will include conducting evaluations using clinical outcome measures and satisfaction surveys.

Communicate effectively with patients, relatives/carers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds in a manner that is sensitive, open, welcoming and person- centred.

Act as a mentor to students, support newly qualified staff and be responsible for implementing the appraisal

Use IT systems

Maintain accurate, up to date clinical records in accordance with Trust

Support the Team Manager with operational duties; including appraisal, caseload management and providing cover in the absence of the Team

Delegate tasks to staff within their competency and ensure that the delegation/escalation process forms part of the culture of the service
