Position Overview & Specifications
Trainee Drainage Engineer required to join our company. No previous experience required as full training will be given. This role will require regular physical work and requires the use of machinery and manual tools.
The successful candidate will be trained in clearing blocked drains and facilities, CCTV surveys, and all other tasks relating to the drainage industry. The job role will offer qualifications and advanced training following completion of a satisfactory probation period.
The applicant must have a flexible approach to their working hours. Shifts normally start at 8am and finish around 5pm, however this can vary depending on workload. You will be expected to work later than 5pm to complete a job you have started.
The salary is negotiable depending on previous experience. Overtime is available.
The initial role of this position is to work with one of our established engineers where you will receive the relevant training to then progress into your own van. You will then be expected to manage your own van and equipment.
As we offer a 24/7 drain unblocking service, all operatives will be included in our call out rota once they have received their initial training. This will include evenings and weekends.
A full clean driving license is required for this position. Please do not apply if you do not have this. You will be required to attend to the company office in Ramsgate each morning to collect a company van.
