Software Development Professional

In this exciting role you will support the business through designing and implementing BI software and internal systems, including integration with current databases.

Within your role as Data and Development Analyst, you will:
  • Develop new internal web applications to support business objectives and seek to enhance current systems to improve efficiency, security and functionality.
  • Support in the monitoring, maintenance and development of MySQL databases.
  • Plan internal systems development including design, full testing plan, communication (including Helpdesk briefing) and address management information requirements.
  • Improve cross department / platform business intelligence providing time savings across the business and improved transparency of data.
  • Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
  • Support the Data and Development Team Leader to ensure timely response to all data and development requirements.
  • Design / Monitor / Maintain accuracy of the critical business reports.
  • Proactively seek to ensure data security and system resilience.
  • Leverage version control and automated testing systems such as Git and PHPUnit to maintain the integrity of internal code.
  • Maintain and deploy new virtual servers which are used to host internal systems.
  • Assist the team in projects as and when required.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and security.
  • Good time management and organisation skills.
  • Experience of planning software testing strategies.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Sound CRM system or similar.
  • Experience with Microsoft and Linux based operating systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to prioritise workload according to business needs and delivery of the departmental objectives.
  • Knowledge of PHP7+ scripting language, CSS / SASS, Javascript, jQuery, Vue, and modern web development frameworks such as Laravel.
  • A strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

This is a Full time role, based in our Support Office in Llandudno, with the flexibility of working on a hybrid basis.
