Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking to recruit an Intensive Outreach and Recovery Worker to join the Specialist Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) within Forward Thinking Birmingham. SEDS provide specialist assessment, intervention and evidence based treatment for patients 0-25 with eating disorders in the community, alongside supporting their families/carers. The team also supports patients in the community and in their own homes, to reduce inpatient admissions and facilitate safe early discharge. The team are developing the intensive pathway within the service working closely with primary care and acute medical hospitals across Birmingham.
The successful candidate will work alongside clinical team in providing both individual and group interventions for patients and families. With supervision and guidance they will support the team to deliver bespoke treatment packages, monitor patients mental and physical health needs, support meal planning and meal supervision in the home and community.
