An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced, highly motivated Course Manager to join our team at Bentley Golf Club.

The 18-hole course, including the practise ground extends to about 110 acres, not only the usual Golf Club areas – teeing grounds, fairways, putting greens, bunkers, and the like, but also copses to be kept to reasonable grass length and paths, ditches, banks, bridges and woodland to maintain. We are also in the process of installing a new Irrigation system.

Role:

To maintain the Golf Course to a standard that will make it recognised as one of the best in the area. Attention to seasonal programmes of work, course improvements, repair and machinery maintenance as necessary.

Ensuring the golf course is maintained to the highest standard throughout the year, having particular regard for the Club’s major and external events, will be key objectives.

The successful candidate will be a working Course Manager capable of working well under pressure and have the ability to supervise and motivate your colleagues in the preparation, maintenance and ongoing development of the course.

You will work closely with the Club Secretary and Course Committee to achieve the short and long term objectives of the club.

Main responsibilities and position requirements:

• Minimum 7 years Green-keeping experience.
• Minimum Level 3 in Greenkeeping.
• PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates. CS30/31 chainsaw certificates.
• Experience of irrigation system repair and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of modern machinery & equipment.
