Bar Staff

Bethnal Green Tavern is looking for bar staff. £12 per hour.

The Bethnal Green Tavern is a busy pub right in the heart of Bethnal Green with a big main bar and a large late-night garden out the back. We have lots of incredible beers on draught sourced from all over the World paired with an exhaustive list of interesting spirits and cocktails. In the very (very) near future we will be reopening our kitchen with lots of excellent classic British grub as well as incredible roasts on Sunday’s. We have a large core group of great regular customers, lots of date nights, mates meeting up for catch ups, birthdays, plenty of visits from craft beer enthusiasts and industry people, alongside Friday and Saturday night revellers. We are also looking to create a homely pub vibe for Sunday Roast’s. It’s a lively bustling vibe on the weekends and nice and chilled earlier in the week.

We are a relaxed and friendly team, focussed on creating a great atmosphere to work and drink in. Candidates should be speedy, when necessary, curious by nature and enjoy a good chat with customers. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive working environment, and are also keen to train people and share our knowledge – whilst prior experience is great, we welcome people who have not worked in hospitality before - we hire based on personality, enthusiasm, and the desire to learn and get stuck in.

Staff training is important for our company, and there are many opportunities for training sessions with our suppliers, attendance of industry events and visits to breweries, distilleries, and such.

We are part of the Grace Land group, home of The Red Hand, The Axe, The Earl of Essex, The Kings Arms & The Black Heart. It’s also a nice gang of sites to roam between, with staff discounts facilitating a lot of hanging out at each other’s bars. There is also lots of opportunity for getting extra hours when needed at sister venues.
