Position Overview & Specifications
The Specialist Mental Health Learning Disability Service is an exciting new team that will transform the support mechanisms for children and young people with a learning disability. The new service will be based at Erleigh House which is situated on the Reading University Campus.
The post holder will have a dual role:
1. A key project focus on improving the use and collection of data (including service user outcomes and satisfaction) and producing innovative and simple methods to clearly show key stakeholders, in layman’s terms, how our interventions improve the mental health outcomes for children and young people with a mental health condition and a learning disability. This will also include working with local and regional colleagues on how we demonstrate the impact of the service.
2. They will hold a caseload of children and young people who will require evidence-based family support interventions. These interventions will be carried out in the family home and the community (as appropriate).
