Position Overview & Specifications

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a dietitian in surgical and medical acute inpatient role. It would suit a newly graduated dietitian.

As the successful candidate, you will be based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital covering a predominantly inpatient caseload, supporting patients on the wards with dietetic interventions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with their MDT colleagues supporting patients in a variety of ways to optimize their nutritional status.

You would be joining a team of over 20 committed and welcoming dietitians, who work in a range of specialist areas.

We are a forward thinking department that has a strong focus on a patient centered service. We encourage service development and have an established quality improvement programme driving the service forward.

Full time (37.5 hours) hours are available for this role, however part time hours Job share would be considered.
  • Assessing nutritional requirements for inpatients with a range of medical and surgical conditions
  • A General outpatient clinic once per month
  • Supporting students, junior staff and other dietitians with specialist knowledge
  • Using a Quality Improvement programme to lead service development
The 3 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
  • HCPC registered dietitian
  • Experience working in the NHS
  • Passion for dietetics and a patient centred focus
