Software Engineer

Software Engineer required for a manufacturer based in Ayrshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to join an expanding team within the engineering industry.

Software Engineer Position Overview

• Working with Electrical and Mechanical departments in the development of our products to meet customer specifications.
• Programming of main cab and body ECUs along with all operator HMI.
• Ensuring all chassis communication is fully integrated.
• Investigating and troubleshooting system problems.

Software Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree /HND in Electrical, Automation, Control Systems, electronics, or relevant engineering discipline along with time served experience.
• Electrical background with a focus on controls engineering.
• Knowledge of PLC Programming, Codesys is preferable (especially using ST Structured Text, FBD Functional Block Diagram and/or C++ languages).
• Able to communicate complex electrical engineering issues and present efficiently.
• Good standard of technical writing and presentation of results.
• A good practical level of electrical engineering will be useful for this role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative teamwork approach -Not afraid to get your message across.
• Based within a commutable distance of Ayrshire.
• A Full UK Driving Licence.

Software Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 - dependent upon experience. (This salary is not a strict guideline).
• Flexible working pattern with the option of a 4-day workweek.
• Flexible holiday package (31 days - including bank holidays).
