Financial Analyst VAT

Some exciting opportunities have arisen following changes to the Bedford Borough Council finance team. Bedford Borough Council is one of the fastest growing unitary authorities, with an 18% increase in population in the last census. It is about to embark on a new transformation journey to improve the lives of our residents, businesses and visitors: so it is an exciting time to join us.

Finance has restructured to be a true partner to the service: driving decisions upfront and improving performance. We are now looking for motivated and enthusiastic finance professionals to be part of this.

We are looking for a VAT Analyst. Previous experience of a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training can be given on the role.

You must be able to work at pace and have excellent communication skills as you will be talking to a broad range of financial and non-finance stakeholders. You will have a broad remit, and access to wider developmental opportunities.

The team work flexibly both in terms of hours and place. One day a month is expected to be spent in the office as a minimum, though there is the option to work in the office every day if desired.

The roles are full-time (37 hours) and permanent. Applications from part-time and job-sharing staff are also welcome.
