Graphic Designer / Marketing Associate - On location Santa Cruz

Job Overview:

The Beauty Solutions Marketing Department is a marketing and graphic design unit for a busy wholesale distributor in the salon beauty industry, located in Santa Cruz.

We are currently in need of a talented Graphic Designer to join our team at our headquarters in Santa Cruz. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both graphic design and marketing, and will help us bring our print and digital advertising campaigns to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career in this field!

Responsibilities:

• Create and design various marketing materials for print and digital.
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
• Complete multiple projects within specifications.
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images.
• Work with a wide range of media, using software, such as Adobe Cloud Apps.
• Assist with webpage maintenance and landing pages.
• Interact with all Beauty Solutions staff while adhering to Beauty Solution’s Core Values.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field is preferred. Prior work experience may also be considered upon presentation of portfolio and references.
• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
• Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design software.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Wordpress and/or other web editors is helpful.
• Experience using a web-based email editor (MailChimp, Klaviyo, or similar) is a plus.
• Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
• Excellent eye for detail.
• Must be detail-oriented and well organized.
• Creativity, resourcefulness, and writing skills are important.
• Must have constructive and friendly interpersonal communication skills.

• Additional details: This is a full-time position on location at our Santa Cruz corporate offices.

Compensation
Commensurate with experience.
