Packing Operative

Barker Ross are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative based in the LE7 Anstey area. This is for a world leading supplier of large print and audio books. Their focus is to make reading as accessible for as many people as possible for as long possible. This is an immediate start!

The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail as you will be dealing with security labels, data labels, barcodes and other materials.

This job is from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday

The pay rate is £10.50.

Job duties include:

• To work under supervision to ensure the efficient flow of orders flow through the warehouse.
• To service books and audio books as appropriate to customer (libraries) specifications and in accordance with monthly KPI (key performance indicators) targets.
• Servicing products as required, this includes attaching security labels, date labels, barcodes, authority stamps, laminating or covering products with appropriate jackets.
• Encoding RFID tags via our bespoke system.
• When requested, applying processed stationery to the products.
• Maintain stationery stock levels and complete order paperwork if stationery is required.
• Ensure orders serviced are listed on appropriate pallet sheet and move to appropriate pallet.
• To maintain a clean and tidy warehouse areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• From time to time, you will be required to undertake duties and/or training in other Operational sections and may be re-deployed to those sections if considered necessary.
