Data Governance Analyst
Northampton


As a Barclays Data Governance Analyst, you will be an integral part for the delivery of Group Data strategy within the Barclays UK Chief Data Office. You will focus on all aspects of the data strategy, driving and delivering compliance of the data management standards using excellent stakeholder management across the Barclays UK Chief Data Office data domains. You will also support strategic data transformation program and engagement with senior stakeholders such as Barclays Internal Audit as part of Business-as-Usual activity.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Supporting monthly Data Forums and Council meetings preparations
  • Supporting data governance and quality assurance activities
  • Performing data profiling and data analysis
  • Coordinating delivery of operating models, designs, procedures
  • Doing Progress Tracking/Reporting (including achievements, next steps, milestone progress, risks & issues, Horizontal RAG
  • Overseeing and supporting the escalation and reporting of critical risks and issues and at risk or missed milestones to Data Governance Lead

What we’re looking for:
• Broad understanding of the principles and application of risk management and Barclays ERMF, preferably including Information Risk specifically
  • Proven track record of achieving targets, goals and objectives Display a continuous improvement approach to all responsibilities by constantly challenging the status quo
  • Excellent and clear communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Project Lifecycle methods (e.g., Software Development Lifecycle, Agile)

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Proven ability to take the initiative and take a role in delivering outstanding results
  • Excellent command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Broad SQL proficiency
  • Proven experience in the Risk and Controls environment and Issue resolution


Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
