Cafe Bar Assistant

The rate of pay offered for this role is £9.50/hour for over 21s and NMW for under 21s. This role is 32 hours per week and is based at our Ashford club.

About the Role

Applications are invited for a Cafe Bar Assistant at one of our prestigious health clubs with its state of the art gym environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate a flair and passion for customer service and an ability to be calm under pressure to ensure they always provide high standards within one of our fully licensed Cafe Bars.

There is a requirement to assist with the preparation and serving of meals and so an awareness of safe food handling is essential, with a level 2 certificate being desirable. You will be responsible for serving customers, up-selling, food preparation and maintaining the cleanliness of the department. Kitchen experience at any level is preferred however full training will be given. As part of our service requirement you will be expected to work shifts that will include evenings and weekends.

We are ideally looking for someone with experience in a food environment, strong Interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, the ability to stay calm during busy periods, confidence to upsell, a friendly approachable manner and a can do attitude.
