Class 1 Spare/Cab Hopper Ballast Driver

Due to our continued success, we have a vacancy for a professional LGV C+E (Class 1) driver to be based at our Westcott, Aylesbury depot..

This role is to cover other drivers for holidays and break periods, "cab hopping".

Will always have 5 days work in any one week.

6 shifts often available.

Plus Night out allowance £30 where applicable.

This role involves working a variety of shifts, with 6 shifts available. Delivering crane ballast (100 ton gross weight special types "STGO CAT 3") and assorted crane parts to sites at various locations around the UK.

Knowledge of securing loads with ratchet straps and chains is beneficial but not essential as training will be given. Also knowledge of Drivers' EU hours and associated Working Time Directive regulations beneficial, but not essential as again, training will be given.

Nights away, "tramping" will be required.

FORS Silver standard training expected, will be given - advantageous if already completed.

Agriculture background knowledge advantageous - BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card - essential.

Valid C+E licence essential - preferred 1 year similar experience.

• Driving a C+E trailer combination: 1 year (preferred)
