Operations Controller – Crewe Distribution Centre

This role is based at our Bakkavor Distribution Centre in Crewe, Cheshire. Our Cheshire manufacturing sites make chilled speciality bread such as sliced baguettes, hand-crafted flatbreads and dough balls.

Accountabilities

• To ensure standards of quality, food safety and hygiene are adhered to during your planning process and issue temporary specification forms when required for none specification production run.
  
• Introduce new and maintain current KPI’s set for the department to drive performance and ensuring the team delivers to agreed targets.
  
• Establish clear and visible lines of communication between the workforce, management and other departments to encourage effective cross functional links.
  
• Liaise with external and internal contacts re: shorts / late deliveries / production problems / packaging problems / customer crate issues / raw material issues and general supply to and from the factory.
  
• Ensure daily production plans are in place to maintain warehouse stock levels, ensuring product from all 3 manufacturing sites are available in time for the picking operation, to meet customer demand.
  
• Stock Accountabilities – Manage all bread supply to production lines for condition / age and amounts using BMS system and frozen bread stocks to and from the freezer store.
  
• Proactively looks at ways to improve customer service – continuously working with other departs and building relationships.
