HGV Class 2 (HGV Cat C) Driver (Nights out)

Job Description

• Monday to Friday normal working week with Sunday runout and Saturday run in possible
• Full Time permanent position, salary based on 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime paid on hours beyond 52½. Shift start time from 04:00.

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers who will be working from our site at Woolpit. Nights out are a requirement of the role. At times the role will be physically demanding, a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.

The Duties and Tasks

Responsible for pallet or plant trolley delivery and repatriation, with the focus on compliant and safe working practices while keeping the customers’ needs in mind. Mainly delivering to Building Sites and Garden Centres across the UK. Daily checks of your vehicle to maintain legal compliance. Always operating within the requirements of EU/WTD hours regulations.

The applicant must:

• Have held an HGV Class 2 (HGV Cat C) driving licence for a minimum of 12 months with a maximum of 6 penalty points and be over 25 (Insurance purposes). ***Applicants outside this scope may be considered, dependant on previous employment and experiences.***
• Have a full and up to date driver CPC, ongoing training while be provided.
• Be reliable, responsible and compliant in all duties.
• Be a team player, ready to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have good customer service skills essential when making deliveries

Advantageous Skills:

• Multi Drop Delivery Experience would be an advantage, however full training will be provided
• Moffett - truck mounted forklift trained would be an advantage, however training could be provided where required
