Position Overview & Specifications
We require Payroll Assistants to become part of a team for a rapidly growing and dynamic Payroll Company.
In the role you will be part of a team responsible for paying agency operatives, supporting the delivery of an excellent payroll service to all clients.
This is a fast paced, demanding role that will require those able to offer flexibility and to work well under pressure, whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
Role Purpose
- Ensure all operatives are paid accurately and on time
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service
- Contribute to the development of the function's processes and procedures, supporting change and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- As part of a dedicated team take ownership and responsibility for delivering payroll on a timely basis.
- Processing New Starters, Leavers, Timesheets, Statutory Payments, Termination Payments, Costing. Running reports, analysing and sanity checking.
- Ensure payroll remains internally and externally compliant.
- Meet Shareholders and Auditors expectations in relation to governance of pay. Have the ability and confidence to challenge in a professional and constructive manner.
- Ensure third party suppliers are serviced efficiently to deadlines.
- Contribute to the general housekeeping and administrative duties to ensure department remains efficient, effective, and professional
Key Skills
- CIPP qualified (Diploma level) preferred
- Manual calculation capability
- IT literate, able to manage automated processing from Project, through Payroll to Finance
- Experience of paying medium/large transient workforce
- Manage complexities of different Working Rule Agreements/TUPE/Pension/Unions
- Problem solving skills
- Able to work methodically, logically, and tidily
- Must be a contributor to change and able to drive innovation and progress
- Excel to minimum of intermediate standard
- Good communication skills
- Able to build and maintain good customer relationships
- Ability to challenge professionally
- Strong operational work ethic - robust - hands on - can do - delivery paramount
- Good personal presentation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
