JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Laboratory and Office Housekeeping Staff
DEPARTMENT: Laboratory and Offices
RESPONSIBLE TO: Services Co-ordinator
EXPERIENCE: It is expected that the post holder will be cooperative and able to adhere to a schedule which may be impacted by lab activities.
JOB PURPOSE: To provide a clean, regularly looked-after workspace for other members of staff that will allow for the minimisation of health hazards in the laboratory and office areas, as well as maintaining communal areas where regular cleaning is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To adhere to a cleaning schedule in office and laboratory areas.
2. To ensure all items that require cleaning are cleaned using appropriate solutions, tools, and methods.
3. To restock cleaning items as needed.
To report any and all issues to Services Co-Ordinator.
KEY TASKS
1. To ensure kitchen spaces are hoovered, the floors are mopped, the worktop, fridge, and microwaves are cleaned and sanitised.
2. Hoover offices and polish surfaces.
3. Ensure all bins in all rooms are emptied.
4. Restock toilet cabinets.
5. Clean all toilets and sink areas, and mop the floors.
6. Wipe down all door handles and other frequently-touched surfaces.
7. Clean all glass windows, picture frames, and doors.
8. Hoover all communal walkways.
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Note * Training and development will be provided.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: From £9,880.00 per year
