Position Overview & Specifications

Job Warehouse Charge Hand

Location: Bristol Patchway Depot

We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Charge Hand on a permanent contract, predominantly working in our ambient transhipment warehouse from Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, (Start and finish time to be agreed) 42 hours per week with the flexibility to fit the needs of the operation where required. Holidays will be on a pro-rata basis.

Your previous experience within a Warehouse operation should enable you to engage within a team, self-motivate and exceed at all levels, working on your own and as part of a wider operation. You will be able to drive a strong team culture with a unified vision: delivering the best possible service to our customers.

More about you


  • You have proven previous warehouse experience in a similar environment

  • You can plan and prioritise your work effectively, coordinate different elements of the work and, where appropriate, delegate.

  • You will ideally have experience of using FLT and PPT/ MHE

  • You have a can do approach to the day’s requirements

  • You can work as part of a team

  • You`re proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and will also be IT literate and able to learn the in-house ambient warehouse stock management system with relevant training.

  • You will be able to work under you own initiative completing daily tasks within the tight time scales.

  • Work in a safe manner adhering to all site safety rules.

  • Liaise with both the suppliers, hauliers, planning and JS depots to ensure accurate information and smooth running of the operation

  • Work to tight deadlines.

  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene.

  • Maintain the sites environmental targets through correct control of recyclable waste.

  • Ensure all work is to a high level, including presentation.

  • Flexibility in the day-to-day routine.
