General Manager (Edinburgh Castle)

Job Title: General Manager

An excellent opportunity has become available to join the team as a General Manager responsible for prestigious Edinburgh Castle on a permanent and full time basis. This is a hands on role responsible for delivering outstanding catering service to both the Military and Civilian teams based on site at the Castle. Reporting to the Area Operations Director, you will also be responsible for the successful and smooth running of our renowned functions and events such as our Edinburgh Tattoo and Hogmanay Celebrations.

Security clearance is required.

A day in the life of a General Manager:

· Build and maintain key relationships with the civilian and military population and attend regular service level review meetings

· Recruit, train and lead your teams to success

· Oversee all aspects of the operation to deliver outstanding service levels

· Manage all hospitality for our events and functions

· Accountable for all customer bookings, invoicing and accounts reconciliation

· Manage financials and achieve food and labour targets

· Oversee and ensure all cleaning and safety procedures are consistently delivered

You'll be set up for success if you have:

· Experience operating as a General Manager or as an Assistant Manager looking for a step up

· You will have a defined hospitality/ food service background

· Experience leading a team to success

· Flexible to work evenings and weekends

· First class customer service skills and a passion for delivering service excellence
