Here at Extramile we are looking to expand our web development team. We are looking for a proactive individual with a passion for software and tech to join the team.

Key responsibilities of the position:
  • Working towards level 4 software development apprenticeship
  • Building and testing simple code in WordPress CMS
  • Supporting senior developers with projects
  • Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality code and user experience
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of the business and users
  • Identifying and fixing bugs
  • Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in web development
  • Taking part in daily scrum meetings
  • Support the team with any ad-hoc tasks
  • Learn from experienced developers and contribute to the development process while building your skills and knowledge in web development

Entry requirements

  • 4 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English and Maths)
Training to be provided

Our Software Apprenticeships enable you and your company to build and test high-quality code across multiple platforms and layers. Apprentices will work as part of larger teams to help drive elements in an overall project.
