Delivery Driver Assistant

About us: We are a family run business based in Bromeswell, Suffolk providing the hire of catering equipment for parties and weddings. We are currently looking for someone to join our team and assist our delivery drivers both on the road and back at base preparing equipment for hire.

Job Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Work as part of a small team to ensure the quality of service and customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Cleaning and preparing hire equipment for customers.
• Be accountable for ensuring paperwork is filled in promptly and correctly.
• Loading orders onto vehicle under the supervision of driver.
• Assisting the driver with completing deliveries and collection of hire orders.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate:

• Must be able to drive or have a reliable system in place to travel to and from work as the office is based in a rural setting with no links to public transport.
• Must be able to work well under pressure as we are a seasonal company and we are very busy during the summer.
• Must be flexible with start and finish times as these can vary during the week.
• Must be able to liaise with customers effectively and with compassion.
• Will be good at problem solving.
• Will be good at working both as part of a team and independently.
• Must be a quick and keen learner as during busy periods the role is in a fast paced environment.
• Be competent at taking instruction and delivering on agreed task.
• Will have good communication skills.

Working week: Monday – Friday with possibility of some weekend work. Flexibility is key (hours may be between 7am-7pm) and changeable.

Work Location: On the road (to and from Bromeswell as main base)
