Our biotech customers undertake incredible work every day to bring life changing therapeutics to patients. Amici has an important role in supporting the customer’s purchasing. You will be a key player in our Technical Sourcing Team, sourcing products and negotiating prices for our customers.

What will you be doing?

• Requests Management – Once described as being a personal shopper for scientists, customers will ask you to source and negotiate prices for a wide range of products they need to buy for their lab work.
• Customer Management – You’ll liaise with customers to ensure you understand their requirements and present options / recommendations based on your knowledge and expertise.
• Sourcing – Our Technical Sourcing Team supports Amici customers with the sourcing of a broad spectrum of biologicals, chemicals, consumables, safety and office supplies, doing whatever it takes to get a successful result for the customer in a timely manner.
• Category, Product and Market Expertise – Over time you will develop your knowledge of the products, the suppliers and the biotech market. Internally, you’ll liaise with the Strategic Sourcing Managers to support their strategies and help deliver company goals.
• Software Administration – Amici’s software is used by the customer to place all their purchase orders. You’ll be responsible for ensuring product information is accurate and for managing pricing updates as necessary.
• Team Support – It’s all about Team here at Amici! You’ll be cross trained, to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge required to support your peers as well as providing input and assistance to other parts of the business.

• You have an investigative scientific mind – what you don’t know today, you will find out to constantly build your knowledge and ensure decisions and conclusions are based on fact.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are just some of your top talents.
• You enjoy working within a fast-paced environment, possess a ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to ‘flex’ and perform as a strong team player.
• You are willing to work a later shift up to 7pm on a rotation basis so that we can support our customers in the USA.
