Who we are:
The UK’s leading manufacturer of CCTV camera mounting equipment. We design, manufacture and supply our wide and varied product range, from our base in Capel Hendre, near Swansea in South Wales. Most of our processes are in house; we laser-cut, press, fabricate, weld and also powder coat, along with the assembly and distribution of our products, throughout the UK and Worldwide. We are also a Sub-contractor for components and fabricated assemblies to OEM’s and steel manufacturing companies in Wales and throughout the UK, under the trading name of Swelco.
Vacancy:
A great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy production team, providing support to help maintain and develop our site and equipment, assist in some manual machine operations and assist in keeping a clean and well organised site.
Job role:
- Assist Line Manager with maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Carry out ‘Handy man’ site and equipment alterations
- Assist in installation of new machinery
- Semi-skilled machine operations and as second man on Laser and bending operations
- Drive FLT, unloading steel delivery vehicles, storing materials and maintaining housekeeping standards
- Some shop floor labouring, cleaning and housekeeping duties
Knowledge – Skills – Experience
- Experience in operating and/or maintaining machinery
- Practical background with experience using hand tools and DIY
- Counterbalance FLT licence an advantage
- NVQ in mechanical or electrical subject an advantage
- Computer literate
- Previous overhead gantry training an advantage

- Be physically fit (due to manual handling and physical nature of the job)

- Annual leave – First year, 20 days + bank holidays (28 days), thereafter 25 days + bank holidays (33 days)

Pay : £10.42 to £11.11 p/h dependant on experience
