Kitchen Porter

The Altonwood Golf Group requires a Kitchen Porter. In addition to the day to day ad hoc catering a key feature of the business is the function trade which ranges from wedding receptions through to conferences as well as Sunday lunches. The venues have wonderful front of house hospitality facilities backed up by large kitchens.

Duties involve the washing of cutlery, crockery and pots and pans etc.

The cleaning of kitchen equipment, fridges and shelves etc.

The preparation of vegetables.

The emptying of bins and brushing and mopping of the kitchen floors.

Other duties as might be expected within the kitchen.

You will report to the Head Chef or Deputy in his/her absence and must enjoy working as part of a team.

Strong organisational and communication skills will be needed to assist in the running of the kitchens as well as ensuring health and safety standards are met.
