Position Overview & Specifications

Allied Mobility is a division of the Allied Vehicles Group. We are the leading Wheelchair Accessible Vehiclesspecialist for the UK and Ireland. We supply a wide range of wheelchair cars, MPVs and minibus conversions. As a Motability partner, we offer a unique selection of wheelchair cars to private individuals and families. Our larger wheelchair access vehicles are also popular with social and community transport providers.

We are now recruiting for a Transport Manager to join our Coventry branch. You will provide an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective service to the company and our customers.

Main duties of the role are:

· Manage the day to day running of the Coventry transport department

· Management of vehicles and demonstrator fleet

· Management of drivers to ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction at all times

· Route planning to maximise efficiencies and cost control

· Ensure that all vehicles are delivered on time and relevant paperwork is completed

· Recruit, lead, and train a team of Drivers

· Ensure the vehicle fleet is effectively utilised

· Ensure compliance with all systems, procedures, and processes, including compliance with working time directives

· Demonstrate a proactive approach to delivering excellent customer service to customers and stakeholders

To be effective in this role, you will have previous experience of working in a Transport Manager role, knowledge of route planning with a detailed knowledge of the UK and knowledge of driver legislation. You will have experience of leading and motivating teams, working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work well under pressure, whilst working to deadlines. A driving licence would be essential for this role.

You will work 40 hours per week between the hours of 7am – 6pm, flexibility will be required.The salary is £42,500 + DOE.
