Engineering Summer Internship (f-m-d)

Role Summary:

We are looking for a number of students to join us for a 2-3 month summer internship here at AIXTRON Ltd.

As part of your internship, you will gain knowledge and training through working with our multi-discinplinary engineering teams. From developing and maintaining systems, to helping with the design for current projects. You will be exposed to a wide range of technical problems that can face our Engineers on a daily basis.

During your internship, you will have a buddy who will guide and support you through your time at AIXTRON Ltd.

What are we looking for:

• We are looking for individuals studying a relevant engineering degree (for example electrical, mechanical, software).
• A motivated, passionate and innovative Engineer who can support delivering solutions
• You must free free to start at the end of June 2023.
• Right to work in the UK
• It is desireable that you are in your penultimate year at University

Please note: if you are not successful with our internship positions, we will also be looking for project students to join us on a shorter-term basis.

Where you’ll be based:

Our summer internships will be based at our Swavesey offices on the outskirts of Cambridge so you will need flexibility in order to be able to commute.

It is likely that you will have the opportunity to make use of our hybrid working policy and balance you time in the office with working from home. This varies between teams, so your manager will discuss with you what would work best when you join us.

AIXTRON is a world leading manufacturer of semiconductor equipment and at our facility in Cambridgeshire we manufacture key MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition) systems for the group. Our MOCVD systems are used to produce (opto) electronics for 5G, fibre communications, lasers, LEDs for displays and power electronics for electric vehicles and chargers.
