Position Overview & Specifications

Do you have the proven ability to motivate and support a team well within a warehouse-style environment? Are you wanting to work for a company who pride themselves on their people and excellence?

Here at Advanced Supply Chain, we are looking for a Team Manager to join our team in our exciting new Bradford site across our day shift on a Monday – Friday basis. You will join us on a full time, permanent contract and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

As our Team Manager, you will report directly into our Operation Managers and will be helping to support them and the wider team by managing the Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives, making sure they remain engaged, organised and motivated throughout their shift. Our successful Team Manager will be driving and delivering on our expectations, making sure these expectations are met in line with our key performance indicators.

Your responsibilities as our Team Manager will include:

  • Managing and coordinating the team to help successfully meet customer service level agreements in line with standard operative procedure and safe systems of work
  • Ensuring business required KPI’s are achieved within set time frames and the shift staffing is always managed effectively around this by planning ahead
  • Being proactive and consistent with supporting your teams in their performance, welfare and conduct in line with company policies and procedures
  • Planning development and skills training interventions, including cross-training with other departments
  • Offering support to the management team across the operation daily, by using business improvement tools
  • Overseeing query stock resolving issues through to conclusion

What we’re looking for in our Team Manager:

  • Previous and proven experience in a logistics distribution working environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the use of warehouse management systems
  • Good people management, leadership & influential skills
  • A positive attitude towards health and safety excellence
