We are looking to recruit an HGV Mechanic to be based at our Bridlington site maintaining fleet of Refuse Trucks, Skip-loaders, hook-loaders and plant.

You are required to have:

• Have relevant qualifications or experience required to maintain vehicles and plant machinery.
• Have a flexible approach to work – as we are a operate long hours and you will be expected to work to meet business demands.
• Be able to manage your time effectively, working both alone and as part of a team.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring that the HGVs and trailers are kept in service by monitoring and repairing defects as they arise.
• Putting in place a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns when necessary.
• Liaising with transport management to ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Vehicle Inspections
• Ability to work on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
• General Servicing
• Correction / repair of vehicle defects
• MOT Preparation / Presentation
• Completion of all required paperwork

Salary: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
