Job description

33n is at an exciting phase of growth and we’re looking for an experienced project manager to work remotely with the energy and drive. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant experience working within a project management framework, including on combined technical and training related projects. This role will require someone to work on defining the project approach, planning within a clinical team and leading and managing project meetings and all aspects of the plan to completion. The person will demonstrate the ability to get things done and motivate others when sometimes working to challenging timelines. They will work collaboratively at all levels of the organisation and across departments to communicate progress and any key issues. They will be a self-starter who is adept at planning, is well organised and proactive in keeping project documents up to date.

Main Responsibilities

  • Understand and establish project objectives, deliverables and dependencies.
  • Write project documentation to define scope of the project.
  • Develop project plans with the team and communicate.
  • Manage business and project risks and issues effectively, including problem solving, escalation and development of contingency plans where needed.
  • Monitor the plan and update tasks on project plans with project work complete.
  • Report on the progress of projects to teams within the agreed regularity.
  • Work with the resource managers on resource planning and allocation of work.
  • Have input on project finance trackers and pricing for project budgets.
  • Prepare for and lead project meetings to run through action logs and upcoming tasks on the plan with the team.
  • Manage and motivate teams.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Establish effective communications across the project delivery and build strong working relationships with other departments.
  • Coordinate cross departmental working and communicate where there are inter-dependencies.
  • Prepare for lessons learned meetings and reports, follow on action recommendations and final project closure reports.
  • Liaise with all other members of the project management team to maintain good communication on projects, highlight resource conflicts or other issues and ensure related projects are coordinated.
  • Ensure that the project delivers against its pre-defined objectives and success criteria.
  • An ability to understand complex requirements across a broad range of clinical, technical and educational activities within the project.

Qualifications & Experience
Must have evidence and experience of:

  • Qualified to degree level/Significant number years of experience.
  • Developing clear and logical project plans that state what needs to happen and the timing necessary. Assess project risks and build appropriate contingency plans.
  • Preparing proactively for project meetings with agendas and meeting notes and keeping teams up to date on activities needed.
  • Ability to rise to a challenge and lead project teams in a way that builds high morale, generates ownership of tasks and creates understanding of project objectives.
  • Work with others to solve business problems. Proactively identify and use the strengths and skills of the team members.
  • Able to break down problems into their component parts and identify the key issues and seek appropriate resolution of problems.
  • Ensuring relevant and timely communication of plans, work and listen to project team members and customer requirements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and people mangement skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with strong attention to detail.

Specialist Skills:

  • Prince 2 Practitioner or similar
  • Knowledge of office 365 including MS Project
  • Knowledge of Monday.com
  • Good working knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Jira would be desirable
  • Understanding and appreciation of a clinical work environment and a consultancy background would be desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £60,000.00 per year
